Broker Services Manager
Location: Hong Kong
Job Summary
Lead the Broker Services team in the execution and delivery of value-added broker services as it relates to client and system broker connectivity and the TORA Compass broker algorithm offering. Work closely with all internal service orientated teams to translate client requests for access to different products, markets, and brokers to the engineering team for FIX implementation.
Manage the gathering and reviewing specifications for new and updated broker algorithms, dark pools, and other broker offerings. Work closely with brokers when adding new markets on TORA Compass to ensure that all order types, regulations, and trading parameters are understood and implemented to meet industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively coordinate the on-boarding process of new brokers on to TORA Compass
- Effectively manage broker tests in both testing and live production environments
- Translate client requests for access to different products, markets, trading venues and brokers to our engineering team for FIX implementation
- Effectively lead and manage the broker services team
- Manage and organize broker-related projects and requests using the Salesforce CRM and At Task project management software
- Liaise with brokers to build and maintain good relationships
- Gather and review specifications for new and updated broker algorithms, alternative trading venues, and other broker offerings with the brokers and the Support team
- Work with QA team to ensure adequate testing is conducted for new broker related release features such as updated/new algo strategies, market specific order types, within the time frames
Qualifications
- Over 5 years experience in a similar role with at least 3 years in a management role
- Experience at a sell-side institution in an electronic trading capacity would be an advantage
- Proven experience in client facing roles with excellent relationship management skills
- Experience in FIX protocol and trading connectivity
- Experience in Object Orientated design and development (Java / C++) on Linux
- Experience in front office order management and exchange connectivity
- Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills. Takes personal initiative, conscientiousness and complete follow-through on the areas of responsibility
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timeframes and coordinate resources
- Excellent interpersonal skills with all internal and external clients
- Excellent English communication skills, Japanese language skills would be an advantage
