Site Support Engineer

Location: Tokyo

Job Summary

The Site Support Engineer role will be a part of our Infrastructure Services team and play a critical role in delivering our products and services. This role supports our daily data centre and global office operations. The Site Support Engineer will report to the global head of IT Operations and work within a team of nine other engineers to support Tora's infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, manage and troubleshoot both hardware and software offices' IT infrastructure. This includes servers, printers, desktop phones, mobile devices and UPS, power systems
  • Install, manage and troubleshoot both hardware and software data centres IT infrastructure
  • Window Server infrastructure administration – create/delete users, manage DNS, DHCP, active directory, group policy and other domain functions
  • Provide end-user requests for assistance and modification of computing environment
  • Manage VMware and network storage administration
  • Required to provide onsite basic network and Linux server troubleshooting
  • Physical racking and patching of server machines to network
  • Office and data centre power infrastructure management and troubleshooting
  • Periodic after hours work required

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of Window server administration experience
  • Experienced with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Domain infrastructures and security
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Window Server problems
  • Experience working in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting server hardware
  • Basic knowledge TCP/IP, IP subnets and networking products
  • Experience working on data centers, data room's and UPS power system is an advantage
  • Experience in administrating and troubleshooting VM is an advantage
  • Holder of a BA/BS degree
  • English proficiency is essential with Japanese proficiency preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently, and able to take responsibility for a task and follow it through to completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Right to live and work in Japan
